Fly Blue Crane, an airline launched by South African Entrepreneur Siza Mzimela in September 2015, has been operating domestically in South Africa since its inception but its getting ready to spread its wings internationally for the first time on May 13th with service to Cape Town and Windhoek, Namibia, according to OkayAfrica.
Mzimela said she would love to see the airline, which boasts an all female staff, eventually cover locations like Botswana, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mzimela has over 20 years experience in the airline industry and shared tips for women trying to break into the business in an interview with Runway Girl Network saying, “The truth of matter is you have to accept up front that your road will be more difficult than the pale white male sitting next to you. Instead of moaning and complaining, just get on with it. It’s your job to say ‘nothing will stop me. I’m going to make it.”
Congratulations are in order!
